이번 여름, 팬데믹 이후 오랜만에 한국 방문 일정을 짤 때, 저희 커플은 각각 커피 맛집 하나, 크로아상 맛집 하나를 정해서 꼭 다녀오기로 했었답니다.

 

블로그에서 아실 수 있다시피 저희는 원래 미국에서도 뉴욕 외 다른 지역을 방문 할 때마다 방문하는 곳의 커피와 크로아상 맛집을 검색해 저희끼리 순위를 매겨보곤 하거든요.

 

When we were finally able to visit Korea after the pandemic, my partner and I had this plan to choose one coffee shop and one bakery where we could try the best coffee and croissant in Korea.

 

As you can see in my blog, we have this tradition of googling the best coffee and croissant whenever we visit other cities and states and rank them.

오랜만에 방문하는 한국이다 보니 스케쥴이 꽉 차있어 커피 맛집 하나, 베이커리 맛집 하나 이렇게 한 곳 씩만 정해서 다녀오게 되었습니다. 

 

늘 그렇듯 제 파트너가 구글링을 통해 커피 맛집을 선정하고, 빵스타그램을 보는 걸 좋아하는 저는 자연스럽게 베이커리 맛집을 선정하게 되었죠.

 

It had been a while since we visited Korea so we had a packed schedule that made us choose just one coffee shop and bakery to make a trip to try beauties.

 

Following the tradition, he ended up choosing one coffee shop in Korea that he'd like to visit and I had a place in my mind that I found on Instagram.

그렇게 저희 커피 & 크로아상 커플이 정한 커피 맛집은 분당 180 커피 로스터스 그리고 어글리 베이커리입니다. 

Here are the finalists- 180 Coffee Roasters in Bun-dang for coffee and Ugly bakery in Seoul for croissants.

 

먼저 분당의 180 커피 로스터스를 방문했는데요, 아빠와 함께 차로 이동했는데 처음에 간판이 잘 보이지 않아 조금 헤맸었답니다. 간판이 보이지 않아도 계속해서 들어가니 두 번째 시도 때 큰 건물을 보고 찾을 수 있었고요.

 

그에게 물어보니 이곳이 한국 국가대표 바리스타가 운영하는 곳이라고 합니다. 그가 커피 맛집을 검색할 때마다 참고하는 리스트가 있는데, 180 커피로스터스가 바로 그 '커슐랭' 리스트에서 유일하게 한국에 위치한 커피숍이었다고 합니다.

1. 꾸러기 수비대 (anime titled Juuni Senshi Bakuretsu Eto Ranger): It comes with the 12 espresso balls that are inspired by the 12 Chinese zodiacs from the anime and a cup of sweetened milk with vanilla beans.

 

I fell in love with it right after the first sip. And because it comes with espresso ice balls, not just ice balls it won’t water down the coffee. Highly recommend. 👍👍

아 꾸러기 수비대 너무 맛있었어요!! 바리스타님께 왜 커피 이름이 꾸러기 수비대냐고 여쭤보니 만화에 나오는 12 십이지 구슬? 처럼 에스프레소 아이스를 넣으셔서 그렇다네요. 

 

처음에는 그냥 우유인 줄 알았는데 마셔보니 바닐라 빈이 들어간 가당 우유였어요. 커피 아이스다 보니 끝까지 커피의 농도를 유지하는 것이 또 마시고 싶은 너무 맛있는 달콤한 라테였습니다!🥛

2. 에스프레소 테이스팅 메뉴: Espresso tasting menu that is comprised of hot americano, espresso, and La La land. Among three drinks, my favorite is La La land which is a coffee cocktail.

 

It is the perfect combination of coffee + sweet cream. Very creamy and smooth. You can order the La La land only in case you don’t want to drink too much caffeine and yes we were very caffeinated (and happy).

에스프레소 테이스팅 메뉴는 아메리카노, 에스프레소 그리고 라라랜드라는 커피 칵테일 같은 메뉴가 나왔는데요, 에스프레소와 아메리카노는 말할 것 도 없고 라라 랜드 부드러운 커피의 맛이 제대로 느껴져 너무 좋았답니다.

 

라라 랜드는 단품으로도 판매하고 있으니 투커 피 카페인을 지양하시는 분들은 단품 메뉴로도 추천이에요!

3. 라떼: Latte showed off the perfect latte art! It was velvety and just loved the milk foam and everything. Perfect for someone who would like to enjoy the blend along with milk.

 

They offer nondairy options too and we found that they use Oatly oat milk barista edition :) 😘

에.. 라떼도 벨베티 한 우유 폼과 커피가 잘 어울려져 맛있었답니다. 이곳에서도 저희 커플의 페이보릿 오트 밀크인 오틀리 브랜드의 오트 밀크 바리스타 에디션 사용하고 계셔서 반가웠답니다.

We also got whole beans so we could enjoy 180 coffee roaster’s coffee at home too. The Violet blend is their signature so we got the blend as well as the Chocolate blend as a gift. Canned coffees and water bottles are on the house :) 🎁

커피 메뉴 외에도 집에서 브류잉할 때 사용하기 위한 원두도 구매해왔답니다. 백팔십 커피 로스터스의 시그니처는 더 바이 올렌 블렌드여서 그거랑 초콜릿 블렌드도 선물용으로 사 왔어요.

 

원두 백을 연 후, 잘 막을 수 있는 집게 같은 것도 주셔서 좋았고 커피캔, 물 다 서비스로 주셔서 여행 중에 간간히 잘 마셨답니다. 고르고 골라서 간 커피숍에서 풍부한 경험을 한 것 같아 만족스러운 방문이었어요!!
