지난여름, 한국은 처음 방문하는 남편을 위해 한강의 자연미와 서울의 도시미를 잘 보여줄 수 있는 곳을 찾다가 더 현대 방문을 결정하게 되었답니다. 맛있는 곳이 워낙 많은 더 현대에서 저희가 고른 곳은 지하 1층에 위치한 올 댓 커피입니다.

When I was planning our first time ever trip to Korea, I wanted to show my husband a place where he can enjoy the nature of Seoul as well as the city aspect of Seoul. With that in mind, I chose The Hyundai department store that is located in Yeouido as it is near Han river park. There were so many coffee shops and places to eat and we chose All that coffee.

올 댓 커피는 한국에서도 핫한 에스프레소 바 답게 웨이팅이 있더라고요. 매장 입구에 위치하고 있는 키오스크에 핸드폰 번호를 입력 후, 자리가 나게 되면 문자를 받고 입장하는 식이었습니다.

 

이렇게 핸드폰으로 입장 안내를 받는 시스템은 올 댓 커피뿐 아니라 푸드 코트 등 다양한 곳에서 사용하고 있는 시스템이더라고요. 한국 핸드폰 번호가 있는 한국분들에게는 편리한 시스템이겠지만, 한국에 방문한 저희에게는 마냥 쉽지는 않았답니다.

All that coffee is an espresso bar which is a trendy style of coffee shop in Korea and we had to wait to get in. What I found is that you don't put your name on the waiting list in Korea.

 

Customers enter their phone numbers in the kiosk and you will receive an SMS when they have a table for you. This was a problem for us because we did not activate our phones in Korea. We did a little experiment to use our phones in Korea only with public wifi haha

주문을 받으시는 분들에게 가서 한국 사람이 유창한 한국말로 한국 여행 중이라 한국 번호가 없다고 말씀드리니 '무슨 말이지?' 하는 듯한 분들도 계셨고요.

 

올 댓 커피에서는 저희가 근처에서 기다리면 불러주시겠다고 하셔서 근처에서 한 5~10분 정도 웨이팅 후 스탠딩 바에 자리 잡을 수 있었습니다.

Whenever we had to provide our phone numbers, I went up to the cashier and explained that we did not have phone numbers. Some of them seemed confused as I totally look like Korean and I spoke Korean fluently.

 

Anyway, the person at All that coffee was able to accommodate us so we just waited near the coffee shop and he called us out when we could claim a standing bar table.

저희가 고른 메뉴는 바게트와 함께 나오는 올 댓 커피의 시그니처 메뉴 '올댓 커피'였습니다. 이쁜 컵 합격! 커피 위의 크림 합격! 바게트와의 조합 합격!으로 모두 합격을 줄 수밖에 없었던 맛이었달까요?

 

커피 한 잔 치고는 비싼 가격이었지만 여행객이었던 저희 부부에게는 좋은 경험으로 남았답니다.

We ordered a signature menu of All that coffee named 'all that coffee' that is served with a piece of baguette. The cup was pretty, the cream on top of the coffee was superb, and the combination of the baguette and coffee was amazing as well.

 

The price of one cup of coffee wasn't affordable but to travelers, it was a fun experience for sure to enjoy a unique cup of coffee.
